Filippo Farneti was born in Ravenna, where he graduated at School of Fine Arts. His research focuses on the investigation of the themes of identity and memory, constantly shifting and elusive. He participated in many solo and group exhibitions including Sinapsi at the Modern Art Gallery in Tirana (2005), Più opere al Mar, le nuove acquisizioni del Museo d’Arte della città di Ravenna, curated by C. Spadoni (2006), Selvatico 7 ‘Out of the map’, curated by M. Fabbri, Museum Varoli, Cotignola (2008), O(Ax)=dO(Am) Equazione impossibile, curated by Marte associazione Culturale (2011), After After 2012, NiArt Gallery (2012), Rivers of AIR, Pescheria Nuova, Rovigo, curated by T. Dona (2013), Quasi storie, Museo Varoli, Cotignola (2014). In 2011 he won the Marina di Ravenna Painting Prize and the Competition for the creation of a mosaic sculpture. Beside his artistic activity he continues to carry on his career dedicated to teaching art and to illustration. He created, since 2011, several publications and received, in 2016, the Special Mention of the Museum of Cinema in Turin at the International illustration competition That’s a Mole. He manages the Education Department of the City Art Museum of Ravenna where he projects courses and workshops for schools and teachers, educational publications and the graphic design of main activities of the museum.
